The Entry Fee is £50 which includes evening or overnight mooring if required.
The Parade will start at 7.30pm
There is a slipway at the corner of New Street.
Craft will rendezvous at Fawley Meadows from 7.00pm.
PLEASE NOTE THAT:
DUE TO ONGOING WORKS, THERE IS NO MOORING FOR BOATS AT FAWLEY MEADOWS PRIOR OR POST PARADE.
AS THERE MAY BE UNREGISTERED BOATS WHO JOIN IN THE PARADE WHO MAY USE FIREWORKS, WE WOULD SUGGEST THAT DOGS BE LEFT AT HOME AND YOUNG CHILDREN’S EARS HAVE PROTECTION.
1. The boat has or will have a current Environment Agency Licence.
2. The boats will have all the necessary safety equipment on board.
3. The boat will have current insurance.
4. The boat will have the required Navigation Lights for its size and will be turned on throughout the event.
5. The boat name will be clearly visible on each side for the judges and stewards
6. The entrant will be responsible for the safety of the craft and the behaviour of all on board.
7. All non-swimmers, weak swimmers and children under the age of 12 must wear lifejackets.
8. The parade will not go through Henley Bridge, To proceed through the bridge for any reason you agree to use only Navigation Lights.
9. The event is not a formally organised event and you take part at your own volition and risk.
10. All entrants are responsible for their own and guests’ and passengers’ welfare. Rivers and boats, particularly at night, pose a potential risk.
11. You agree to exercise care at all times.
12. You will ensure the boats in your charge are not overcrowded.
13. The event will only be cancelled if the river is in flood.
14. You agree the entry fee is non-refundable but will be transferred to the next date.
15. You agree to follow any instructions from the Stewards or any Environment Agency requests.
16. There will be Stewards on boats at the event.
17. The illumination will conform to the safety rules above.
The Parade is organised by a privately owned UK limited company.
The Company’s only activity is to organise an ‘Illuminated Boat Parade’ at Henley on Thames.
All costs of the first year were covered by a donation from the shareholders.
No fees or dividends are being paid to the directors or shareholders.
The event is organised specifically as a fund-raising event for charity.
All nett fees for entries collected via the website and on the night and any charitable donations at the event will be donated to the two chosen charities less the mooring fees that will be passed on to Hobbs Limited as collection agents for the mooring’s owners.
The organisers would welcome any sponsorship enquiries.
The directors reserve the right to recoup some costs as the event grows in size.
